  • Bread
  • Dry foods
  • Stringy vegetables
  • Tart or tangy foods that increase saliva
  • Food with mixed textures
  • Medicines/Pills
  • Plain water

Items that may be easier to eat/swallow
  • Wet, pureed foods such as mashed potatoes, pudding, applesauce, smooth soups
  • Thickened liquids such as milk shakes, fruit nectars
  • *Always control the amount of each sip and bite
  • *Swallow completely before continuing
